The fine print
Terms of Service
The ground rules for using ReunitePets to help reunite lost pets with their families.
Last updated: May 30, 2026
Acceptance of these terms
- By creating an account or using ReunitePets.org, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the service.
- You must be old enough to form a binding agreement in your jurisdiction to use the platform.
What ReunitePets does
- We provide a community-powered platform to report lost and found pets, surface potential matches, and coordinate with local rescue volunteers.
- We are a coordination tool — we do not guarantee that any pet will be found or reunited, and we are not responsible for the conduct of other users.
Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate information in your reports, and keep your account secure.
- Only post content you have the right to share, and don’t upload anything unlawful, harmful, or that isn’t yours.
- Use the platform to help reunite pets — not to harass others, scam, or collect people’s information for unrelated purposes.
- Meet others safely. Use good judgment when arranging to recover or hand off a pet; ReunitePets is not a party to those interactions.
Content you submit
- You keep ownership of the photos and details you post. You grant us a license to display and distribute that content on the platform for the purpose of reuniting pets.
- We may remove content that violates these terms or that is reported as abusive, fraudulent, or unsafe.
Disclaimers & limitation of liability
- The service is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. We work hard to keep it reliable, but we can’t guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free.
- To the fullest extent permitted by law, ReunitePets is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform or interactions with other users.
Changes & contact
- We may update these terms; continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms. We’ll revise the date above when we make changes.
